BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Harold Lee Young, of Bridgeport, died on Saturday, June 13. He was 74.
Young was born on May 19, 1941, to Nettie and Charles Young. He graduated from Central High School and then served in the U.S. Marine Corps and later drove a truck for Butler Transit.
He is survived by his wife, Sonya S. Young, two daughters, Perniece Mendez of Charlotte, N.C., and Selinda Young of Bridgeport, a son, Craig Young; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, brother James Young and his wife, Marcia, and two sisters, Annie Mitchell and Genevieve Helms.
He was predeceased by a son, Dwayne Barnes and brother John Young Sr.
Visiting hours will be on Wednesday June 24 at 10 a.m. at Baker-Isaac Funeral Services, 985 Stratford Ave., in Bridgeport, with services to follow at 11 a.m.
Interment will immediately follow at the State Veterans Memorial Cemetery, on Bow Lane in Middletown.
